Belle Lockerby *thought* that when she left her corporate life behind to launch and successfully run her own business sharing her change and marketing skills in community workshops and corporate programs that she was sharing
More often than not, women who had to start over, or redesign their lives to fit with family would utter the words to the single mum
"you're inspiring, Belle."
As she built her bravery, she shared more stories of personal traumas, tenacity, and (let's be real) some terrible dad style jokes, The more permission she granted herself to be real, the more others gave themselves permission.
Over time, the inspired 1 turned into 10, then 100, then 1000.
Belle kept every single page of feedback, every group card (not every plant her women gifted - she killed most of those), every coaching review. One day, she decided to read ALL of them, looking for the common thread.
She realised that she was helping people to rebuild their courage and confidence again.
In themselves and their goals again, rebuilding self-confidence, AND businesses just like she had, after adversity.
Belle has worked with local and state government departments, individuals, and groups to overcome obstacles, including creating in-person and online workshops such as Enterprising Migrant Women, Mumpreneur, Artpreneur, Power Up Business Bootcamps, and Leverage, plus bespoke corporate keynotes and programs.
Belle has a heart for people to know their strengths, free their voice and find their value, in themselves and in the way they generate a living.
Her bestselling book, Awkward is the New Brave, wipeouts happen, get back up anyway is her personal testimony to stretching her own definitions of bravery, courage and success.
Her next book, The Words the Caterpillar ate is due for release in November 2022.
